Western Veil Nebula

The Western Veil is a remnant of a star which cataclysmically exploded leaving behind huge trails of ionised gas. it can be observed visually in a telescope in the right conditions free from light pollution but the beauty of its textures and instricate woven strands of hydrogen and oxygen gas are only really seen when imaged.
