Imaging the Iris Nebula
My small observatory has space for just one telescope so when a specialised alternative is used it has to be set up alongside. Here the long focal length cassegrain telescope is capturing 60 second exposures of the Iris Nebula. In total 624 images were made over the course of three nights then stacked together in software to make a RAW image which could them be processed, and ultimately made into a steel printing plate.
